Cell Phone Repair Technician

Job Purpose: Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have own transportation.

  • One year of customer service and/or retail experience.

  • Proven record of consistently providing positive customer experiences.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Excellent technical, problem solving, and analytical skills.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • An interest in selling and a desire to learn sales techniques.

  • Comfortable navigating in Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems

  • Professional, neat appearance.

  • Ability to work retail hours, which may include weekends, holidays and some overtime.

  • Applicants with previous phone repair experience preferred, but not required. We can train.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices

  • Providing recommendations for problem resolution

  • Explaining complex technical issues to customers in a non-technical, simple to understand manner

  • Ensuring that all repairs meet or exceed TPG quality standards

  • Communicating with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, take orders, and obtain details about the customer request.

  • Resolving product or service problems by:

    • Clarifying the customer's complaint

    • Determining the cause of the problem

    • Selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem

    • Expediting correction or adjustment

    • Following up to ensure resolution.

    • Establishing strong rapport and trust with customers.

    • Answering phone calls to the store with a professional, courteous and friendly demeanor

    • Ensuring that customers have an enjoyable experience by providing superior customer service and exceeding customer expectations

    • Keeping track of all devices and inventory while safeguarding all store stock

    • Utilizing the point of sale system to maintain an accurate record of customer information and a real-time status of each repair

    • Maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of the store

    • Performing opening and closing duties within the retail store.
